Lightning Riders

My wife wanted a mirror for the stoker seat of our EZ AX Tandem. Since there are no rear handlebars I needed to find a mirror that I could easily attach to the rear of my captain seat. The Zefal Spy mirror was perfect for this task. I did however, add some shim material to to my captain seat frame for a more secure attachment.

Pros

Light weight and inexpensive.
Convex and unbreakable for improved field of view.
Easy tool free installation and removal using an elastic attachment. Can be installed on many locations.
Low profile for improved aerodynamics and for tight spaces.
Can be rotated and positioned at almost any angle.

Cons

Smaller field of view compared to other bike mirrors such as the Mirrycle.
Convex mirror gives a somewhat distorted image.

Recommendations

Good choice for hard to fit locations; or for improved aerodynamics and light weight. Also would be a good choice for a second right side mirror. But if a wide undistorted field of view is a priority, then the large Mirrycle mirror is a better choice.
