Rear Rack recommendationCould I get a recommendation for a rear rack for my P-38? I had a rack, but the top deck is too long and it pokes me in the back. I have two Ortlieb front rooler panniers, so the load wouldn't be terribly heavy. I need it for commuting. Thanks for any suggestions. David

Rear Rack
I have a large P-38 with a Jandd Expedition rack. With the seat in the reclined position the front of the rack pokes you in the back. With the seat forward no problem. I use fenders which require the seat to be in the forward position so this is not an issue for me. I do not know if this would hold true with all frame sizes. All Jandd racks are designed for a 700c wheel. I would recommend a heavy duty rack, once you put one on it is nice to be able to haul some weight if needed.

Seat forward position?
Thanks for the reply Speedy Joe! I may be missing something (it wouldn't be the first time). What is the forward position and the reclined position? I thought there was only on way to mount the seat on a P-38. Thanks for any info. anyone can provide.

Seat Position
The seat can be moved by sliding the steel tubes at the back of the seat in or out of the seat stays, making the differenc in the seat back angle 50-65 degrees. I don't know if this feature was on older models.
